International Business Machines. The name says it all. Actually founded in the
19th century by Hermann Hollerit, at that time this company built punch-card
readers. During the 1960ties and '70ties, IBM had it's big glorious days, where
they really dominated the world. But, alas, the american justice system kicked
in, and in the 80ties it threatened to break up the company as they have done
with AT&T. IBM was paralyzed in the process, not daring to produce any
really innovative products, and one of these ruins is the RT PC.
